June 19, 2012 - William Paul Collins, age 87, passed away in Somerset, KY on June 19, 2012, at the Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Early in his career, he worked in the auto industry and was a 15 year employee of the Western Auto of Whitesburg, KY; independently he repaired electronics, and spent many years trading and bartering at flea markets across different parts of Eastern and Central, Ky. He was born on August 28, 1924 in Seco, Kentucky in Letcher County to the late Watson T. Collins and Clara Breeding Collins and was the grandson of William T Breeding and Emeline Crase Breeding. Billy Paul, as he was known to family and friends, was preceded in death by a sister Mabel and a brother Mack who died at a very young age. He is survived by his wife, Doris Frazier Collins, four children, Larry (and Marsha Collins) of Mason, OH, Paula (and Charles Collins), of Somerset, KY, Karen (and Billy Sauls) of Eureka, N.C, and William (Randy) Collins of Greenville, South Carolina, seven grandchildren, Lauren Collins Yankoff, Amanda and Rebecca Collins; Paul Edward Collins and Heather Collins Stout, Rachel Rankin, and Savannah Elizabeth Collins ; eight great grandchildren, Maddy, Leydn, and Van Yankoff , Braydon and Brynna Collins, Abigail and Bradley Stout, and Benjamin Rankin, and is survived by his younger brother, Jimmy Collins of Ypsilanti, Michigan.
