Mattie Vern (Caudill) Eldridge

Mattie Vern Eldridge, 85 of Whitesburg, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Mattie was married to the late Matthew Eldridge and was the daughter of the late Astor and Renavae Caudill. Mattie was a member of the Big Cowan Old Regular Baptist Church. Surviving is her son: Kelvin (Vicki) Eldridge; 3 grandchildren: Kelah (Chris) Lowe, Andi (Ethan) Vance, and Jessica (Sam) Blackburn; 3 great grandchildren: Kyler Lowe, Emma Blackburn, and Hunter Blackburn along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Mattie was preceded in death by a daughter: Renee Eldridge; 3 brothers: B F Caudill, Burtis Caudill, and Baylus Caudill; 1 sister: Christine Fields. Funeral: 11:00 AM Monday, April 15, 2024 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Allen officiating. Visitation: 6:00-10:00 PM Sunday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at Whitesburg, Kentucky.
